We love having the opportunity to work with people from all around the world, and this goes beyond the brands and influencers we partner with. Here at Vensy, we have an extremely diverse and multicultural team. Over the past couple years, we have found that operating with in-person and remote components has only improved our experience. Our team members can work from anywhere - whether it’s in our office in London or in a different continent. I connected with three of our team members to discuss where they live, and the role it plays in their career at Vensy.
Akin: Lagos, Nigeria - Creative Lead

One of the positive outcomes of the pandemic is what Akin calls “collaboration across borders”. He calls Lagos a “cacophony of hustle” where inspiration comes easily, and sometimes unconventionally. He constantly gets inspiration from his surroundings in Lagos - Afrobeats, driving around the city, and even being stuck in traffic. This inspiration has led him to some of his best ideas, particularly for projects he has worked on for the NBA. He describes working for Vensy as “a testament of the magic that happens when creative like-minds congregate.” He is easily able to connect with the team through Slack or WhatsApp, and he says that they have become a close group, who can bounce ideas and inspiration off each other at any time. Most of his work is remote, but he has collaborated with local production teams in-person. He finds that one of the most interesting parts is observing content creators from different markets. He picks up on their idiosyncrasies, their work ethic, and ultimately their delivery. One of the biggest difficulties is the time difference when working with content creators in America or Asia, but he is flexible. He says that navigating all this with the Vensy team is a wild ride, where he is always learning and discovering.
Josh: London, England - Creative Executive

Josh’s upbringing in London has helped to influence his outlook on creativity. London is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, which he has observed for as long as he can remember. He says that “from a young age, you just become a sponge to different things, and different ways to see things.” Before becoming a member of the Vensy team, he primarily worked on freelance projects with Nike. He started working for Vensy three years ago, and now he is a full-time Creative Executive, who helps to curate and execute campaigns. He gets to choose between working remotely or coming into the office.
Dorine: Paris, France - Campaign Lead

Before working at Vensy, Dorine had only worked jobs that were mostly in an office, and she had not really worked with data. She was curious about how it would be to work fully remotely, and specifically how the agency would be organized. Fast forward to now, she has really enjoyed the experience, and has appreciated the balance between data and creativity. She likes that her projects stimulate her creativity, but also allow her to rely on tangible data. This helps her evaluate how the create aspects worked, and what that means for the strategy going forward. She has noticed specific positive outcomes from the team being spread in different countries. She believes that the fact they all grew up in different atmospheres has nourished their point of views as individuals. When they collaborate, they ultimately speak a “universal language of creativity”, but they are able to push their concepts further by adding their local point of view. This is their formula to come up with innovative concepts at a quick pace.
One of our biggest goals is to work with a diverse group, both within and outside of the team. No matter what you’re looking for, we would love to help. If you’re ready to learn more and get started, contact us at contact@vensy.co.uk.
